Thailand BOI question: As a company engaged in software business, can we include a car bought under the company’s name in our investment capital per BOI promotion condition?
Answer:
A car purchased in the company name can be considered part of investment. However, it must be reasonable. For an instance, you informed the BOI that you are doing a software business but you only have a few computer units or software while you have 1 or 2 cars which make the total cost exceed Baht 1 M to get BOI promotion. This is considered unreasonable and may affect the promotion of your project.
