Export of Animal Parts From Thailand

In general, foreigners can engage in export business without having the Thai partner. Hence, if a foreigner wants to export chicken parts, he can setup a 100% foreign owned company and do exports provided that he gets the necessary permits. To do so, a Health Certificate from the Department of Livestock Development and Export Permit for animals or animal carcasses from the Animal Quarantine Station are required.

Moreover, the chicken and its parts must be sourced from a factory that is on the List of Establishments approved by the officials. The company must receive authorization from the certified factory before it can submit the application to the Department of Livestock Development.

Once the necessary permits are obtained, the documents must be taken to the checkpoint.

If exporting by sea, the Laem Chabang checkpoint will be used and for land exports, the checkpoint area is in Chonburi. Additionally, if the route from the factory to the export checkpoint crosses provincial borders, the company needs to submit the application through the Domestic Animal Carcass Movement System before submitting the documents at the checkpoint.
